SAN MARCOS TRANSIT PLAN I FINALREPORT <br />City of San Marcos <br />TRANSITSAN MARCOS <br />The City of San Marcos Transit division partnerswith CARTS to provide wheelchair -accessible <br />fixed -route and paratransit service to residents andvisitors of the San Marcos urbanized area. <br />San Marcos Transit (branded as The Bus) consists of five fixe d -routes that run throughout the <br />day, two fixed -routes with intermittent schedules, and a senior shuttle. San Marcos Transit <br />operates on weekdays and observes sevenholidays (NewYear's Day, M. LK Day, Memorial Day, <br />Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day). <br />Fare options include a $1.00 one-way fare, $2.0o dailypass, and $30 monthlypass. Riders <br />eligible forADA paratransit service, persons 65 years or older, and elementary throughhigh <br />school students are eligible for a reduced one-wayfare of $0.5o and a reduced monthlypass of <br />$15. Texas State University reimburses the City of San Marcos for trips taken by students, faculty, <br />and staff, who ride for free with their ID.
