Ordinance No. 2020-81 is hereby amended by amending Section 8 thereof, <br />pertaining to early voting for the December 8, 2020 runoff election, to read as follows: <br />"SECTION 8. The main early polling place for early voting by personal appearance for the <br />election is the Government Center Conference Room, 712 S. Stagecoach Trail, Northwest <br />Conference Rooms San Marcos, TX 78666. If any portion of this Ordinance is held invalid by a court of competent <br />jurisdiction, the remaining provisions of this Ordinance shall remain in full force and effect. <br />SECTION 4. The importance of this Ordinance creates an emergency and an imperative <br />public necessity, and the provisions of the Charter requiring that ordinances be presented at two <br />separate meetings be waived and, this Ordinance will take effect immediately upon adoption. <br />CONSIDERED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this the 20th day of November, 2020. <br />2 <br />
