Most exposure for staff and <br />students has occurred at social gatherings with friends and/or family off <br />campus. <br />Mr. Stapp mentioned the cost of the antiviral medicine which costs around <br />$3,000 per dose. <br />Mr. Stapp contacted Curative regarding the forms of Identification accepted. <br />Curative does ask for ID, but they do not refuse service if none is presented. <br />They will accept any form of government issued Identification. In the United <br />States or other government. <br />Dr. Marquez asked about city employees and the protocols, if someone tests <br />positive. Mr. Stapp stated a policy is in place that requires the employee to <br />quarantine for the recommended time as outlined by the Centers for Disease <br />Control (CDC). Dr. Marquez asked if there are different guidelines for salaried <br />vs. wage employees. Mr. Stapp confirmed the guidelines remain the same and <br />everyone does receive sick time. <br />Council Member Baker asked about mask requirements for city employees. He <br />stated employees are required to wear masks when 6 foot distancing can't be <br />maintained. <br />Council Member Garza asked about marketing and information sharing <br />regarding the free testing and wants to ensure posters are in Spanish and <br />displayed in various areas of the community so it can be provided to as many <br />individuals as possible. Mr. Stapp stated the communications department <br />translated flyers and posters into Spanish and they are prominently placed at <br />many city facilities and on our website. Mr. Stapp stated he is pleased with the <br />testing numbers. <br />Council Member Baker thanked Mr. Stapp for providing the numbers that <br />would require another shutdown and he inquired about the increased numbers <br />in El Paso and what kind of impact this has on use regionally. Mr. Stapp <br />stated the City was not impacted, but Austin took in about 32 patients. He <br />noted that we will only accept what our overflow rate will allow. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />A motion was made by Council Member Baker, seconded by Council Member <br />Gonzales, to approve the consent agenda.
