RESOLUTION NO. 2021-40R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS EXPRESSING THE CITY COUNCIL'S SUPPORT FOR <br />EXPLORING THE POSSIBILITY OF A COLLABORATION WITH THE <br />INDIGENOUS CULTURES INSTITUTE IN ESTABLISHING AN <br />INDIGENOUS CULTURES CENTER, INCLUDING EXPLORING THE <br />POSSIBILITY OF JOINING WITH THE INDIGENOUS CULTURES <br />INSTITUTE IN APPLYING FOR HAYS COUNTY PARKS AND OPENS <br />SPACE BOND FUNDING AND PROVIDING CITY PROPERTY FOR THIS <br />PROJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The City Council hereby expresses its support for exploring the possibility <br />of collaborating with the Indigenous Cultures Institute in establishing an indigenous cultures center <br />(the "Project"), including exploring the possibility of joining with the Indigenous Cultures Institute <br />in applying for Hays County Parks and Opens Space Bond funding and providing City property <br />for the Project. <br />PART 2. Any final agreements regarding the manner and terms and conditions of <br />collaborating with the Indigenous Cultures Institute for the Project shall be in the form of one or <br />more written agreements, each subject to approval by the City Council at a future meeting. <br />PART 3.
