The Consultant will not substitute another representative for this Project unless <br />approved in writing by the City in advance of such proposed substitution. In the event the City <br />and the Consultant cannot agree to the substitution of the Project Representative, the City may <br />terminate this Agreement in accordance with Article 7. <br />1.0.8 The Consultant will perform project management to include status reports, presentations, <br />meetings, coordination and associated activities as further detailed in the following Tasks. <br />Project management fees are in included in each Task in accordance with Article 13. <br />1.1 TASK 1- RESEARCH <br />The Consultant will conduct a comprehensive and inclusive research process that will include <br />three significant areas that build on the City's existing research including: <br />1.1.1 Research Studies Review. The Consultant will explore the history, vision, values, <br />strengths and weaknesses of San Marcos determined through existing studies and research <br />previously conducted by Market Street, TIP Strategies, the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce <br />(its strategic plan) and in the City's recently conducted community assessment survey/study. In <br />addition, the Consultant will access existing market studies of shopping and tourism trends <br />associated with San Marcos' outlet malls. The Consultant will comb through the critical <br />research studies and conduct related online searches. From this work, the Consultant will create a <br />summary report in the form of a PowerPoint presentation of the findings.
