AIRPORT MASTER PLAN <br />Based on research completed as part of this project and discussions with airport <br />stakeholders, there are no known hazardous materials, solid waste, or pollution <br />hazards on or immediately adjacent to the airport. However, an inactive landfill site <br />is located immediately east of the airport close to the approach end of Runway 26. <br />The landfill site has been capped. The presence of this landfill will be a <br />consideration in future development plans at the airport. <br />Based on research completed as part of this project and discussions with airport <br />stakeholders, there are no known noise related issues related to airport operations. <br /> <br />The impacts that an airport can have on local air and water quality should be a <br />major consideration in the growth and development of an airport. There are no <br />known issues at the San Marcos Regional Airport related to water quality or air and <br />water pollution at this time. <br /> <br /> <br />Inventory Chapter Page 52 of 52 <br />October 2020 <br /> <br />
