This is expected to be a positive <br />influence on aeronautical activity at the airport. <br />M EDIAN H OUSEHOLD I NCOME <br />In addition to general employment data, household income data provides insight <br />into the local economy. While a locations economy can be growing, it is possible for <br />it to grow in a manner that has a limited impact on aeronautical activity (e.g. lower <br />income jobs, businesses with little correlation to aeronautical activity, etc.). <br />Historically, higher levels of income have been associated with higher aeronautical <br />activity levels. Tables 3-6 and 3-7 show historic and projected household incomes <br />for Hays and Caldwell counties (combined). Trends similar to these are expected in <br />the Austin-Round Rock MSA and the San Antonio-New Braunfels MSA. <br />Socioeconomic studies similar to the one completed for this master plan have <br />shown the median household income within the City of San Marcos to be lower <br />than the figures shown in Tables 3-6 and 3-7.
