City Council Meeting Minutes April 20, 2021 <br />Advisory Board. <br />The following applicants were nominated for consideration to the Economic <br />Development San Marcos Board: <br />Dr. Michael Cardona, SMCISD representative - nominated by Mayor Hughson <br />David Case, Medium Business representative - nominated by Mayor Hughson <br />Following a roll call vote both members were appointed to the Economic <br />Development San Marcos Board. <br />The following applicants were nominated for consideration to serve on the <br />Historic Preservation Commission: <br />Jennifer Rogers - nominated by Mayor Hughson <br />Nezahualcoyotl Paniagua-Jimenez- nominated by Council Member Garza <br />Following a roll call vote both members were unanimously appointed to serve <br />on the Historic Preservation Commission. <br />George Garcia Jr. was nominated by Council Member Gleason for <br />consideration to serve on the Neighborhood Commission as the Sector 6 <br />representative. <br />Following a roll call vote Mr. Garcia was unanimously appointed to serve on <br />the Neighborhood Commission. <br />Joel Dellinger was nominated by Mayor Hughson for consideration to serve on <br />the San Marcos Industrial Development Corporation. <br />Following a roll call vote Mr. Dellinger was unanimously appointed to serve on <br />the San Marcos Industrial Development Corporation. <br />28. Receive a Staff presentation and hold discussion on allowing goats for urban farming, <br />and provide direction to Staff. <br />Greg Carr, Director of Neighborhood Enhancement, provided a brief <br />presentation. <br />Mr. Carr stated a request from a resident was discussed at the Sustainability <br />Committee held on January 29, 2021 to allow specific types of goats to be <br />raised in the city to support urban farming. The proposed ordinance allows for <br />miniature goats (Pygmy or Dwarf) goats to be allowed in the city. <br />City of San Marcos page 31 <br />
