RESOLUTION NO. 2021-127R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS ALLOCATING GENERAL FUND DOLLARS MADE <br />AVAILABLE DUE TO THE AWARD TO THE CITY OF CARES ACT <br />CORONAVIRUS RELIEF FUNDS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO ACT AS THE OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE <br />CITY IN MATTERS RELATED TO SAID FUNDS ON BEHALF OF THE <br />CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />RECITALS: <br />1. Through Resolution 2021-67R, on April 20, 2021, the City Council designated <br />categories and criteria for the use of general funds made available duet to the award to the City of <br />CARES Act Coronavirus Relief Funds; and <br />2. Through that allocation $640,000 was made available as a One Time Grant Fund. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The allocation of the One Time Grant Fund, consisting of general fund <br />dollars made available due to the award to the City of CARES Act Coronavirus Relief Funds, in <br />the amount of $640,000 as set forth in Exhibit A, is approved. Funding is allocated to the agencies <br />in the amounts listed, and the remainder is allocated to the Human Services Grant Fund for use in <br />the 2021 application process. <br />PART 2. The restriction that the use of funds must be related to the COVID-19 Pandemic <br />is hereby removed from the amount allocated to the Human Services Grant Fund. <br />PART 3. The City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to act as the official <br />representative of the City in matters related to said funds. <br />PART 4.
