RESOLUTION NO. 2021-177R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING A CONTRACT TO PROVIDE FUNDING <br />TO THE AUSTIN AREA RESEARCH ORGANIZATION ON BEHALF OF <br />CENTRAL TEXAS ADDRESSING CANCER TOGETHER IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $271,915.00 FROM AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN FUNDS <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUPPORTING THE BREAST CANCER <br />INITATIVE TO ADDRESS HEALTH DISPARITIES AMONG <br />UNINSURED, LOW-INCOME WOMEN AT RISK OF BREAST CANCER <br />WHICH WILL SUPPORT THE RECOVERY OF THE COMMUNITY <br />FROM THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. A contract to provide funding to Austin Area Research Organization on <br />behalf of Central Texas Addressing Cancer Together in the amount of $271,915.00 from American <br />Rescue Plan Funds for the purpose of supporting the Breast Cancer Initiative to address health <br />disparities among uninsured, low-income women at risk of breast cancer which will support the <br />recovery of the Community from the COVID-19 Pandemic is approved. <br />PART 2.
