RESOLUTION NO. 2021-196R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING A LEASING AND RATE SCHEDULE <br />POLICY FOR THE SAN MARCOS REGIONAL AIRPORT THAT SEEKS <br />TO ENHANCE THE ECONOMIC VIABILITY OF THE AIRPORT; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />RECITALS: <br />1. Airport rates and lease language requirements are heavily regulated by both the federal <br />and state governments. <br />2. The Texas Municipal Airport Act authorizes the San Marcos City Council to delegate <br />operational and regulatory powers of an airport owned by the local government. <br />3. Demand and a wide variety of airport facilities available for lease dictates the need for <br />timely adjustments to lease rates to maintain market rates. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The attached Leasing and Rate Schedule Policy relating to the operations of <br />the San Marcos Regional Airport ("Airport") is approved. <br />PART 2. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to perform the <br />administrative functions identified in the Policy which are intended to enhance the economic <br />viability of the Airport. <br />PART 3.
