RESOLUTION NO. 2021-198R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS ACCEPTING THE AWARD OF THE <br />NATIONAL PARK SERVICE'S UNDERREPRESENTED <br />COMMUNITY GRANT ("UCG") IN THE AMOUNT OF $30,000.00 <br />TO PROVIDE FOR CONSULTANT SERVICES TO COMPLETE <br />HISTORICAL SURVEYS OF THE CALABOOSE AFRICAN <br />AMERICAN BUILDING, THE ULYSSES CEPHAS HOUSE AND <br />THE DUNBAR SCHOOL BUILDING; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE ANY AND ALL <br />DOCUMENTS AS NECESSARY TO ACCEPT AND IMPLEMENT <br />THE GRANT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AS OF AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE THAT ALIGNS WITH THE GRANT AWARD; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The acceptance of the award of the National Park Service's <br />Underrepresented Community Grant (UCG) in the amount of $30,000.00 to provide for <br />consultant services to complete historical surveys of the Calaboose African American <br />Building, the Ulysses Cephas House and the Dunbar School Building is hereby approved. <br />PART 2. The City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to execute any and all <br />documents as necessary to accept and implement said grant award on behalf of the City as <br />of an effective date that aligns with the grant award. <br />PART 3.
