7¸6 Regular Meeting July 26, 1982 Page 4 Mayor Craddock moved the Ordinance be approved on second reading and Mrs. Norris seconded the motion. Mr. Kreczmer moved the Ordinance be amended to consider the items pertaining to business of City be considered separately than the items pertaining to three retroactive salary increases, and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock moved the three retroactive salaries in Departments 10, 35 and 71, Line Items (as they pertain to the three retroactive salaries) 5110, 5120 and 5121 be deleted from Exhibit "A" to be considered separately and Mrs. Norris seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock then moved for approval of the Ordinance on second reading as per Mr. Kreczmer's amendment and Mrs. Norris seconded the motion, which passed unani- mously. Mr. Brown moved the Ordinance be amended wherein the three retroactive salaries be retroactive as of July, 1982 rather than April, 1982 and Mr. Farr seconded the motion. On roll call the fol- lowing vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, Craddock. NAY: Kreczmer, Mendez, Moore, Norris. ABSTAIN: None. The motion failed. Mrs. Norris then moved for the reclassification of the three salaries as of October 1, 1982 (new budget year) and Mr. Moore seconded the motion. After some discussion that the three salaries were proposed to be increased in the new budget year, Mrs. Norris withdrew her motion. The three requested salary adjustments in the 1981-1982 budget year will not be altered. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Resolu- tion, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT TO E-Z BEL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC. OF SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS, FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS ON ALABA- MA AND ROOSEVELT STREETS IN SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Kreczmer moved for the adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Resolu- tion, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO FREESE AND NICHOLS FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES CONNECTED WITH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF STEP 1 BASIC SERVICES AND SESS IN- VESTIGATION OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS WASTEWATER FACI- LITY IMPROVEMENT, IN COMPLIANCE WITH EPA PROJECT NO. C-481464-01-0 AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Farr moved for the adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Brown se- conded the motion, which passed unanimously.
