ORDINANCE 1982-26 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTIONS 29-123 <br />AND 29-152(c) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF <br />SAID CITY TO ADD THREE LOCATIONS WITHIN SAID <br />CITY AT WHIiCH PARKING SHALL BE PROHIBITED; <br />TO ADD ONE LOCATION WITHIN SAID CITY WHICH <br />SHALL BE DESIGNATED AS A TOW-AWAY ZONE <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after study of current parking problems within <br />the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos, Texas, Jesse <br />Guerra, Acting Chief of Police for said City, has recommended <br />certain areas at which parking should be prohibited and one <br />area which should be designated as a tow-away zone; and, <br /> <br />58 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of said City, having examined <br />said recommendations, hereby finds and determines that said <br />locations should be added as no parking areas and a tow-away <br />zone; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAI'NED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. That section 29-123 of the Code of Ordinances, <br />City of San Marcos, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows; <br /> <br />Sec. 29-123. No parking. <br /> <br /> In accordance with the terms of this chapter, and <br />when signs are erected giving notice thereof, no <br />person shall park a vehicle upon any of the following <br />described streets or parts of streets: <br /> <br />Alley, South of Jackson Lane, both sides. <br /> <br />Armstrong Street, South side, Guadalupe Street to <br />MacArthur Street. <br /> <br />Blanco Street, West side, Hopkins Street to San <br />Antonio Street. <br /> <br />Blanco Street, West side, Hutchison Street to <br />Burleson Street, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. <br />and 5:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Blanco Street, East and West sides, Hutchison <br />Street to Hopkins Street. <br /> <br />Bugg Lane, both sides Missouri-Pacific railroad <br />tracks to Hopkins S'~eet <br /> <br />Burleson Street, both sides, Kasch Street to <br />Gillette Street. <br /> <br />Burleson Street, South side from R.R. 12 (Moore <br />Street) to Blanco Street between the hours of <br />8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a loading zone start- <br />ing at a point 150 feet west of R.R. 12 (Moore <br />Street) to a point 200 feet west of R.R. 12 <br />(Moore Street). <br /> <br />Cheatham Street, both sides, from Guadalupe <br />Street to L.B.J. Drive. <br /> <br />Chestnut Street, North side, L.B.J. Drive to <br />Lamar Street. <br /> <br />C.M. Allen Parkway, East side, Cheatham Street <br />to University Drive. <br /> <br /> <br />
