21 <br /> <br />Special Meeting <br /> <br />May 17, 1982 <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval to authorize <br />the expenditure of $1,500.00 from contingency funds for expenses <br />related to the search for the new Police Chief. Mr. Farr moved <br />for approval of the expenditure of contingency funds and Mr. Brown <br />seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Brown, Farr, Craddock, Moore, Norris. <br /> <br />NAY: Kreczmer. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of the direction <br />to be taken on the Bishop Street project, including award of bid and <br />acquisition of right-of-way. George Boeker advised the Council the <br />Staff recommendation would be to go with the base bid plus Alternate <br />I. After some discussion Mrs. Norris moved the Staff proceed with <br />the base bid and Alternate I and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, <br />which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />John Anderson, Chairman of the Airport Commission reported to the <br />Council on the need for construction of additional T-Hangars at <br />the Airport. He advised the Council the Commission wanted to build <br />an8-stall T-Hangar, which would run approximately $125,000.00. Since <br />the cost would be high, he said they were considering the possibility <br />of sheds in place of T-Hangars and would be making this decision in <br />the very near future. (Elida Mendez present at this time 5:45 p.m.) <br /> <br />Mrs. Norris moved the Council adjourn to Executive Session pursuant <br />to Article 6252-17, ~2(f), V.A.C.S., to discuss the acquisition of <br />property from James Cummings of forty acres of land adjacent to the <br />Sewer Treatment Plant, and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously (6:50 p.m.). <br /> <br />Mr. Brown moved the Council convene at 7:25 p.m. and Mrs. Mendez <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 6:26 p.m. on motion of Mrs. Norris and se- <br />conded by Mr. Kreczmer. <br /> <br /> Karl W.
