City Council Meeting Minutes December 7, 2021 <br />Council held further discussion and consensus is to bring back an Ordinance <br />requiring humane and ethical sourcing, potentially in partnership with shelters, <br />and noted there is a need to define responsible animal sourcing. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />29. Executive Session in accordance with the following: <br />A. Sec. §551.071 of the Texas Government Code: Consultation with Attorney: - To receive <br />legal counsel regarding the pending wastewater discharge application dockets; the <br />application of HK Real Estate Development, LLC for proposed permit for new TPDES <br />Permit No. Q0015784001; TCEQ Docket No. 2021 -0053 -MWD; SOAH Docket No. 582- <br />21-1893 <br />B. Sec. §551.074 of the Texas Government Code: Personnel Matters: to discuss the City <br />Manager Search Process <br />Mayor Hughson stated Executive Session was completed during the Work <br />Session, and was not needed this evening. <br />ACTION/DIRECTION FROM EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />30. Consider action, by motion, or provide direction to Staff regarding the following Executive <br />Session item held during the Work Session and/or Regular Meeting: <br />A. A public hearing was held on the regular agenda (item <br />#18), it was discussed at that time and approved. <br />Mayor Hughson stated for item B, council appointed Stephanie Reyes as the <br />interim City Manager effective February 1, 2022. <br />VI. Question and Answer Session with Press and Public. <br />Lisa Marie Coppoletta, asked to consider to have someone from the Jewish <br />faith lead the invocation? She would like to have a general resolution to <br />support all faiths and all sexual orientations. Mayor Hughson stated an item <br />will be on a future agenda to address concerns. She asked why the Mayor did <br />not recuse herself from the Together for a Cause? Mayor stated she will look at <br />it. <br />VII. Adjournment. <br />City of San Marcos Page 20 <br />
