26 <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />May 24, 1982 <br /> <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of an extension <br />of the Victory Gardens Contract for additional sidewalk construction. <br />Mr. Farr moved for approval of approximately 600 linear feet of addi- <br />tional sidewalks on Patton Street and Mr. Kreczmer seconded the mo- <br />tion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of award of bid <br />on the Bishop Street project. Mrs. Norris moved for approval to award <br />the bid (Base Bid plus Alternate I) to W. A. Hollub, Inc. and Mrs. <br />Mendez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of a Release and <br />Abandonment of Easement with Reuben H. and Marion Nelson Meeks located <br />at 820 Bluebonnet Drive. Mrs. Norris moved to approve the Release and <br />Abandonment of Easement and Mr. Farr seconded the motion. George <br />Boeker stated the City has obtained another easement for a lift station, <br />which eliminates the need for this easement. The Council approved Mrs. <br />Norris' motion by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />Mr. Farr moved the Council adjourn to Executive Session pursuant to <br />Article 6252-17, ~2(e), V.A.C.S. to discuss pending litigation - <br />Stokes, Et A1 vs. City of San Marcos and Southwest Texas State Uni- <br />versity vs. City of San Marcos and Mrs. Mendez seconded the motion, <br />which passed unanimously (8:18 p.m.). <br /> <br />Mr. Kreczmer moved the Council convene at 9:02 p.m. and Mrs. Mendez <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval to retain the <br />law firm of Brown, Maroney, Rose, Baker and Barber to assist in the <br />Karon Guenther vs. City, Et A1 lawsuit. Mrs. Norris moved to approve <br />Brown -Maroney lawfirm to assist in the Guenther case and Mr. Moore <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The <br />CO <br /> <br />adjourned at 9:10 p.m. on motion of Mrs. Norris and se- <br /> ~zmer. <br /> <br />l <br />I <br /> <br /> lida A.
