RESOLUTION NO. 2022-12R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR OPERATION AND <br />MAINTENANCE OF EXISTING TRAFFIC SIGNALS DUE TO AN <br />INCREASED POPULATION EXCEEDING 50,000 AS REQUIRED BY <br />STATE LAW AND AN AGREEMENT FOR THE INSTALLATION AND <br />REIMBURSEMENT TO THE CITY FOR THE OPERATION AND <br />MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS RETAINED FOR <br />MAINTENANCE BY THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION IN THE ANNUAL AMOUNT OF $21,824.88; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO <br />EXECUTE THE AGREEMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The attached two Agreements with the Texas Department of Transportation, <br />one for Operation and Maintenance of Existing Traffic Signals Due to Increased Population <br />Exceeding 50,000 as required by State Law and another one with the Texas Department of <br />Transportation for Installation and Reimbursement to the City for the Operation and Maintenance <br />of Traffic Signals Retained for Maintenance by the Texas Department of Transportation in the <br />annual amount of $21,824.88 are approved. <br />PART 2. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute the Agreements <br />on behalf of the City. <br />PART 3.
