City Council Meeting Minutes February 1, 2022 <br />The San Marcos Industrial Development Corporation was postponed for <br />consideration this evening, but vacancies will be brought forward at a future <br />meeting. <br />The following applicants were nominated for consideration to serve on the <br />Senior Citizen Advisory Board: <br />Wayne Schurter - nominated by Mayor Hughson <br />Jill Mace - nominated by Mayor Hughson <br />Lezlee Harris Aery - nominated by Mayor Hughson <br />Following a roll call vote all members were unanimously approved for <br />appointment to serve on the Senior Citizen Advisory Board. <br />Council Member Prather recused himself from the nominations and <br />appointments to the Veteran Affairs Advisory Board due to his employment <br />with the Hays County Veterans Office. <br />The following members were nominated for consideration to serve on the <br />Veteran Affairs Advisory Board: <br />Amanda Gomes Torres - nominated by Council Member Baker <br />Cody Stauffer - nominated by Mayor Hughson <br />Nathan Price - nominated by Council Member Gleason <br />Following a roll call vote all members were appointed to serve on the Veteran <br />Affairs Advisory Board. <br />The following applicants were nominated for consideration to serve on the <br />Zoning Board of Adjustments: <br />Michael Nolen - nominated by Council Member Gleason <br />Thomas Sims Jr. - nominated by Council Member Gleason <br />Following a roll call vote both members were unanimously approved for <br />appointment to serve on the Zoning Board of adjustments. Two vacancies <br />remain on this board and consideration for appointment will be brought <br />forward at a future council meeting. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />2. Executive Session in accordance with Sec. §551.071 of the Texas Government Code: <br />Consultation with Attorney: To receive advice of legal counsel regarding the Purchase and Sale <br />Agreement with Pursuant Ventures, LLC <br />A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Scott, seconded by Council Member <br />City of San Marcos Page 7 <br />
