City Council Meeting Minutes March 1, 2022 <br />assisting completing an application. <br />Amy Oakes, expressed concern with development occurring on Coffee Road. <br />She expressed concern with flooding coming from the Trace development. She <br />stated there is concern with backflow going into her property from the <br />development. She mentioned the development is built behind her house that is <br />a low line that floods. She expressed concern with the sale price of homes being <br />built and doesn't consider this project affordable housing. <br />Lisa Marie Coppoletta, she expressed concern with the speed bumps on her <br />street. She expressed concern with items #28, 29, 30 and nothing in the charter <br />protects the citizens. There is nothing in the charter to protect her rights. She is <br />expressed concern with emergency preparedness if there is an international <br />situation. She would like the city to create a disaster committee formed by <br />citizens. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tern Scott, seconded by Council Member <br />Prather, to approve consent agenda items #1-8 and 12 -13. Items #9, 10, and <br />11 were pulled and considered separately. The motion carried by the following <br />vote: <br />For: 7 - Mayor Hughson, Council Member Baker voted for items #1, 4-6, 12-13, Council <br />Member Gonzales, Mayor Pro Tern Scott, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Garza, <br />Council Member Prather and Council Member Gleason <br />Against: 0 Council Member Baker voted against items #2, 3, 7 and 8 <br />1. Consider approval of Ordinance 2022-08, on the second of two readings, annexing into <br />the City approximately 2.527 acres of land generally located on Centerpoint Rd <br />approximately 340' northwest of the intersection between Centerpoint Rd and Gregson's <br />Bend in Case No. AN -22-05; including procedural provisions; and providing an effective <br />date. <br />3. Consider approval of Ordinance 2022-09, on the second of two readings, amending the <br />Official Zoning Map of the City in Case ZC-21-26, by rezoning approximately 70.89 <br />acres, more or less, out of the Edward Burleson Survey, Abstract 63, generally located <br />north of the intersection of Gregson's Bend and Commercial Loop, from Planning Area <br />(PA), Future Development (FD), and General Commercial (GC) to Character District -5 <br />(CD -5), or, subject to the consent of the owner, another less intense zoning district <br />City of San Marcos Page 2 <br />
