Hopkins <br />I. Call To Order <br />With a quorum present, the regular meeting of the San Marcos City Council <br />was called to order by Mayor Hughson at 6:02 p.m. February 15, 2022. This <br />meeting was held in-person and online <br />II. Roll Call <br />Present: 7 - Mayor Jane Hughson, Council Member Maxfield Baker, Council Member Saul <br />Gonzales, Mayor Pro Tem Shane Scott, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Alyssa Garza, <br />Council Member Jude Prather and Council Member Mark Gleason <br />III. Invocation <br />Rev. J.D. Elshoff, First Baptist Church, provided this evening's invocation. <br />IV. Pledges of Allegiance - United States and Texas <br />Council Member Gleason led the assembly in the Pledges of Allegiance <br />V. 30 Minute Citizen Comment Period <br />Robert Eby CONA representative for the Oak Heights Neighborhood and <br />CONA vice president spoke regarding item #16 on the installation of speed <br />cushions on Franklin Street. He does support this item with consideration for <br />amendments. He stated Franklin Street is a wide residential street that is fast <br />that encourages He stated staff recommended 3 speed cushions with 200 yards <br />apart. He noted that staff left out a proposed speed cushion between Girard <br />and Perkins. He would like to see a total of four speed humps. The residents <br />asked for speed humps and not speed cushions. He shared his experience of <br />almost getting hit by a car passing a stop sign while he was wearing a safety <br />vest. <br />Paul Cauduro spoke on behalf of the Austin Apartment Association, the City <br />of San Marcos enacted a 90 -day notice of proposed eviction requirement 22 <br />City of San Marcos Page 1 <br />
