ORDINANCE NO. 2022-38 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS AMENDING SECTION 2.232 OF SAN MARCOS CITY CODE TO <br />REVISE THE HUMAN SERVICES ADVISORY BOARD MEETING SCHEDULE <br />REQUIREMENTS; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />SECTION 1. Section 2.232 of the San Marcos City Code is hereby amended to read as follows <br />(Added language is underlined. Deleted language is stricken through.): <br />Sec. 2.232. Rules and regulations. <br />The human services advisory board will adopt rules and regulations as it deems <br />best to govern its actions subject to city, state and national laws. The board will meet at <br />least eii^e ^ v. eiit as needed to fulfill its duties. The regular meetings of the board shall <br />be set on a calendar approved by the boaid for the upcoming calendar near at the last <br />scheduled meeting of theme A majority of the board constitutes a quorum, and the <br />concurrence of a majority of the voting members present is required for the determination <br />of matters within its jurisdiction. <br />SECTION 2. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this ordinance is held to <br />be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other provisions of this ordinance <br />will continue in force if they can be given effect without the invalid portion. <br />SECTION 3. All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions in conflict <br />with this ordinance are repealed. <br />SECTION 4.
