PROPOSITION — M <br />The amendment of Section 12.12(a)(4) of the City Charter (Charter Review Commission) to <br />require the charter review commission to make a final report of its recommendations and require <br />that the chair or a designated member of the commission present the report to the city council. <br />FOR: 3,339 <br />AGAINST: 329 <br />SECTION 4. That Mark Gleason received a majority of the votes and is elected to serve <br />as City Council Member, Place Five. <br />SECTION 5. That Jude Prather received a majority of the votes and is elected to serve as <br />City Council Member, Place Six. <br />SECTION 6. Propositions A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, 1, L, M, are hereby adopted and the San <br />Marcos City Charter is hereby amended as of the effective date of this ordinance to incorporate <br />the text amendments corresponding to each of those propositions as set forth in Ordinance 2021- <br />84 <br />021-84 that called the special charter amendment election. <br />SECTION 7. Propositions J and K did not receive a majority of votes and the proposed <br />text amendments corresponding to these propositions are not adopted. <br />SECTION 8. The importance of this Ordinance creates an emergency and an imperative <br />public necessity, and the provisions of the Charter requiring that ordinances be presented at two <br />separate meetings be waived and, this Ordinance will take effect immediately upon adoption. <br />CONSIDERED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this the 15t" day of November, 2021. <br />Attest: <br />Tammy K.
