RESOLUTION NO. 2022-226R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT <br /> APPLICATION TO THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR'S PUBLIC <br /> SAFETY OFFICE (PSO) FOR FUNDING IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT <br /> OF $122,621.00 FOR THE FY 23 BULLET-RESISTANT SHIELD GRANT <br /> PROGRAM; DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER AS THE OFFICIAL <br /> AUTHORIZED TO ACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND EXECUTE <br /> REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR PURPOSES OF THIS APPLICATION <br /> AND ANY RESULTING GRANT; PROVIDING ASSURANCES; AND <br /> DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. Submission of a grant application to the Office of the Governor's Public <br /> Safety Office (PSO) for funding in the estimated amount of$122,621.00 for the FY 23 Bullet- <br /> Resistant Shield Grant Program is hereby authorized. <br /> PART 2. The City Manager is hereby designated as the authorized official of the City <br /> of San Marcos who is given the authority to apply for, accept, reject, alter, or terminate a grant <br /> related to this application and the City Manager or her designee is hereby authorized to execute <br /> such documents as may be required in connection with the submission of the application. <br /> PART 3. Pursuant to the requirements of the grant, assurance is hereby given that in <br /> the event of loss or misuse of grant funds, the San Marcos City Council will return all funds to <br /> PSO. <br /> PART 4.
