RESOLUTION NO. 2022-208R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS ACCEPTING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR THE <br />TAXIWAY CHARLIE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT AT THE SAN <br />MARCOS REGIONAL AIRPORT FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION'S AVIATION DIVISION AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />CITY'S PARTICIPATION IN THE PROJECT BY CONTRIBUTING TEN <br />PERCENT OF THE CONSTRUCTION COSTS IN THE ESTIMATED <br />AMOUNT OF $539,273.00; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR <br />HER DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS <br />RELATED TO THE PROJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br />11:77XGIIIS1f.Yi <br />1. The City of San Marcos intends to make certain improvements to the San Marcos <br />Regional Airport. <br />2. The general description of the project is described as: Taxiway Charlie <br />Reconstruction Project ("Project"). <br />3. The City of San Marcos has requested financial assistance from the Texas <br />Department of Transportation for these improvements and has been granted the assistance <br />requested. <br />4. The total cost of the project is estimated to be $5,392,730,00 and the City of San <br />Marcos will be responsible for 10% of the total project costs estimated to be $539,273.00. <br />5. The City of San Marcos names the Texas Department of Transportation as its agent <br />for the purposes of applying for, receiving and disbursing all funds for these improvements and <br />for the administration of contracts necessary for the implementation of these improvements. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />PART 1. The San Marcos City Council finds the Recitals to be true and correct and <br />adopts them as findings of the City Council and incorporates them as part of this resolution. <br />PART 2. The City Council authorizes an expenditure of $539,273.00, which <br />represents 10% of the entire funding for the Project, toward the funding of the Project. <br />PART 3. The City of San Marcos hereby directs Kirk Abbott, Project Engineer, to <br />execute on behalf of the City of San Marcos, at the appropriate time, and with the appropriate <br />authorizations of this governing body, all contracts and agreements with the State of Texas, <br />represented by the Texas Department of Transportation, and such other parties as shall be <br />
