AUTHORIZATION OF CHANGE IN SERVICE <br /> CONTRACT NUMBER 217-4448 Sessom Creek Wastewater Replacement <br /> CONTRACT NAME: I from N.LBJ to Canyon Road <br /> CITY REPRESENTATIVE/ Shaun Condor/Engineering&CIP <br /> DEPARTMENT: <br /> CONTRACTOR: Kimley-Horn and Associates,Inc. <br /> CONTRACT EFFECTIVE DATE: October 03,2017 COUNCIL RES.NO: 2017-12IR <br /> THIS AUTHORIZATION DATE: 05 AUTHORIZATION NO.: <br /> DESCRIPTION OF WORK TO BE ADDED TO OR DELETED FROM SCOPE OF SERVICES: <br /> CIS #: $143,425.00 <br /> In general,the additional scope will include: <br /> Phase 2—Canyon Road Extension <br /> •Remove Loquat Street from the project and the culvert adjacent to the roadway.Redesign the roadway, <br /> grading, and guardrail requirements. <br /> • Design a turnaround for the end of Loquat Street. This includes additional survey. <br /> • Sessom Creek Restoration Project Phase 2 & 3 Supplement — the restoration of Sessom Creek will <br /> have an addition of approximately 275' of channel restoration where the culvert is to be removed. This <br /> study and design will help to reduce sediment load by addressing erosion occurring within Sessom <br /> Creek mainstem and Windmill Tributary through natural channel design. Sessom Creek Restoration <br /> Project Phase 2 & 3 will be designed by Ecosystem Planning & Restoration (EPR) as a subconsultant <br /> to KIMLEY- HORN. Reference Attachment A-1 for the Sessom Creek Restoration Project Phase 2 & <br /> 3 supplemental scope of services and the corresponding schedule for the EPR design phase services. <br /> • KIMLEY-HORN will coordinate with EPR during design to evaluate potential impacts of the <br /> concurrent creek restoration and sanitary sewer replacement along Sessom Creek and Canyon Road. <br /> • KIMLEY-HORN will coordinate with Byrn & Associates, Inc. for a replat of land swap between <br /> Texas State University and the City of San Marcos. <br /> Please see Attachment A for more details. <br /> 02/21/17 Rev.02.01.2021 Page 1 of 2 <br />
