I Hays County (designated by <br /> commissioner's court and confirmed by <br /> council) <br /> I President of the Greater San Marcos <br /> Partnership (ex officio non-voting <br /> member) <br /> 2 Small business owners with (1-25 <br /> employees) in the city that are residents of <br /> San Marcos <br /> I San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce <br /> Representative (designated by the <br /> chamber of commerce and confirmed by <br /> the council, must be a resident of the city) <br /> I San Marcos Consolidated Independent <br /> School District(SMCISD) Representative <br /> (designated by SMCISD and confirmed by <br /> council.) <br /> (b) Membefs ef. the Gfeffll-ef can Mar-ees Paftfier-ship '_-eafd afe net <br /> eligible te be appointed to the beafd. The following members of the Greater Sail <br /> Marcos Partnership board are eligible to be appointed to the EDSM board: -A city <br /> council member, the city manager, and the designated representatives of Hays <br /> County and the San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District and the <br /> EDSM Board member selected to serve as a representative to the GSMP Board.No <br /> more than one other appointee to the EDSM board may be a member of the Greater <br /> San Marcos Partnership board. <br /> (e) The members of the board other than the ex officio members are <br /> appointed by the city council for staggered three-year terms. If a member is <br /> appointed to fill a vacancy, they shall serve the remainder of the current term. <br /> (4) The board may create ad-hoc subcommittees that also include other <br /> community members to assist in the economic development efforts of the city, to <br /> work on specific areas of economic development, or on specific economic <br /> development projects. <br /> (e) The board will have at least four meetings per year, and will meet at <br /> least once per quarter, and as needed. <br /> Sec. 2.370. General powers and duties. <br /> (a) The economic development board will provide advice to the city <br /> council on economic development matters and policies. <br />
