EXHIBIT A
Description of First Round Project
Bus fleet purchase and operating expenses to fulfill federal purchasing
requirements.
Texas State has identified the first project for funding and intends to purchase a certain
number of buses through the award and use of Federal Funds.
Texas State has determined that purchasing and owning the fleet of buses will ultimately
reduce the cost of service allowing for improvements to the existing system and
coordination with the City system and the benefit of Hays County and the urbanized area
of San Marcos. This project will also allow Texas State to improve safety and service
reliability of the fleet and maintain the fleet in a state of good repair.
