� <br /> � <br /> ]� <br /> Chapter 19'SPECIAL EVENTS " <br /> AkUCLEl - |NGENERAL <br /> Secs. 19.001-19.020 'Reserved. <br /> ARTICLE 2. -SPECIAL EVENTS PERMITS <br /> Sec. 19.O21. -Definitions. <br /> Applicant means aperson who has filed anapplication for aspecial event. <br /> City means the City ofSan Marcos, Texas. <br /> Person means any individual, assumed named entity, partnership, association, corporation, or <br /> organization. <br /> Premises means the location at which the special event is being held. <br /> Special event is an infrequent event, with more than 500 people or more than 250 people if alcohol is <br /> sold or provided or if a road is closed, excluding for construction purposes, inside the QLity_1imits <br /> which is likely to attract visitors, and is an opportunity for leisure, social and cultural experiences by <br /> attendees. Such special events may include, but are not limited to, exhibitions, automobile shows, <br /> tournaments, running/biking events, festivals, carnivals, group garage sales, outdoor <br /> shows/concerts, craft fairs, block parties, parades, or religious events. means a ternpGrafy-event-, <br /> gathering -----an'ized --ti,'4y to be held with.;R -_4y an-A i s .1;ke ly We attFaGt 109 G F ME)re visitors <br /> linked — -i—ses, GaFniva!S, Gafn-ivat-&jde_srhE)ws, and other similar amusement <br /> (Ord.No <br /> Sec. 19.O22. -Permit required; exemptions. <br /> (a)_--|tshall be unlawful for any person to conduct or sponsor a special event without first having <br /> obtained epermit from the . <br /> � <br /> (b)--It shall be unlawful for any person in charge of or responsible for the conduct of a special event to <br /> knowingly fail tocomply with any condition ofthe permit. <br /> (c)__-Thefollowing events are exempt from the provisions ofthis chapter: <br /> o)--SpeG;al events held at a GitY park-, authorized pursuant to chapter 58 of the San Ma_rGos-Code-. <br /> (2) Any event sponsored by the GitY. <br /> (3) Private parties held on residential private-p_rGla-rty to which the Public is not invited wher--there, <br /> are no More than 100 guests; <br /> (14) An event wholly contained on property designed or suited for the special event and which has <br /> appropriate zoning, adequate parking and certificate ofoccupancy. <br /> (5) Parades as defined by-Ghap article 5 of the San Marcos Code-. <br /> (26) Events which are authorized under a separate agreement or-�issuecl by the GGity. <br />
