Attachment A: Driving Track and Firearm Range Rules <br /> Driving Track Rules <br /> • CAPCOG agrees to abide by all rules set forth by the San Marcos Police Department (SMPD) <br /> concerning the driving range. <br /> • CAPCOG will provide qualified instructors. <br /> • Restroom facilities will be accessible in the police department training lobby when the track is in <br /> use. <br /> • All scheduling of the driving range will be done through the SMPD Training Coordinator. <br /> • Scheduling is done on a first-come,first-served basis. <br /> • A second no-call, no-show for a scheduled appointment will result in a suspension of use for a <br /> period decided by the Training Coordinator. <br /> • CAPCOG agrees to replace/repair any and all damaged equipment/property that occurs based <br /> on its usage (cones,signs,structures, etc.). <br /> Firearms Range Rules <br /> • When using the range, all personnel must be under the direction of a qualified firearms training <br /> instructor. <br /> • Access to the range is obtained by scheduling in advance by contracting the SMPD Training <br /> Coordinator/Rangemaster and then obtaining the key from the front counter/records personnel <br /> on the date scheduled. <br /> • Key is only available between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. CAPCOG is responsible for coordinating key <br /> arrangements if a session runs earlier or later. <br /> • Shooting hours are limited to 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, but setup and cleanup can occur earlier or <br /> later. <br /> • Ammunition is to be provided by CAPCOG. CAPCOG may be required to provide new target <br /> backers if conducting shotgun training. , <br /> • Trajectory must absolutely be a consideration with this range design.The vast majority of <br /> rounds need to strike the sand backstop. CAPCOG shall consider shooter and target height. <br /> • Targets/staplers/staples must be provided by CAPCOG. <br /> • No use of steel targets is permitted without prior approval of the SMPD Training <br /> Coordinator/Rangemaster. <br /> • CAPCOG shall report any malfunction of equipment or damage to the facility to the SMPD <br /> Training Coordinator/Rangemaster. CAPCOG shall refrain from attempting to repair any range <br /> equipment. <br /> • CAPCOG will be responsible for repair costs resulting from gross negligence. <br /> • CAPCOG shall report any injuries to the SMPD Training Coordinator/Rangemaster. <br /> • CAPCOG shall clean up following training by sweeping up spent brass and storing it for recycling. <br /> CAPCOG shall place used targets and trash can contents in the dumpster.Shotgun hulls and <br />
