May 26, 2023 <br /> Les Stephens <br /> Fire Chief <br /> San Marcos Fire Department <br /> 630 E Hopkins, San Marcos, TX 78666 <br /> Re: Fire Station #4 HVAC Redesign <br /> Dear Chief Stephens: <br /> am pleased to present this Proposal to you for professional services for the above <br /> referenced project. <br /> The following represents our understanding of the project and scope of work along <br /> with associated fees requested to accomplish the Basic Services work. <br /> Project Understanding <br /> The City of San Marcos Fire Station 4 has experienced many issued related <br /> to their existing HVAC system causing the station at certain times to not <br /> have conditioned air. The City of San Marcos has requested a proposal from <br /> Abercrombie Planning+Design to redesign the MEP system at Fire Station <br /> 4 with the goal of making the system more reliable, efficient, and zoning the <br /> station out with separate systems. <br /> Abercrombie Planning + Design will serve as the public safety design <br /> consultant, project manager, and liaison between the Fire Department and <br /> the design team. Tovani Hart, PC will serve as the architect of record for <br /> the project, and PKMR Engineer will serve as MEP, PCS will serve as <br /> structural engineering as needed <br /> Please note that although Abercrombie Planning + Design is coordinating <br /> the work in this Phase, all professionals are independent contractors <br /> working in there given capacity and are not employees of Abercrombie <br /> Planning + Design. <br /> Limitation of Responsibilities - Consultant shall not be responsible for the <br /> acts or omissions of any Contractor, or of any of their subcontractors, <br /> suppliers, or of any other individual or entity performing or furnishing the <br /> Work. Consultant shall not have the authority or responsibility to stop the <br /> work of any Contractor. <br /> Detailed Scope of Work for MEP work is attached. <br />
