RESOLUTION 2023-178R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE ESTATE <br /> OF ELEANOR TUTTLE CATES PROVIDING FOR THE CITY TO <br /> PURCHASE APPROXIMATELY 6.982 ACRES OF LAND IN THE <br /> VICINITY WEST OF THE INTERSECTION OF HUNTER ROAD AND <br /> DIXON STREET, FOR A PRICE OF $650,000.00, PLUS ASSOCIATED <br /> CLOSING COSTS, IN CONNECTION WITH THE PURGATORY CREEK <br /> PHASE 2 IMPROVEMENTS PROJECTS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br /> MANAGER, OR HER DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT <br /> AND ASSOCIATED CLOSING DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE <br /> CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. The attached agreement with the Estate of Eleanor Tuttle Cates providing <br /> for the City to purchase approximately 6.982 acres of land in the vicinity West of the intersection <br /> of Hunter Road and Dixon Street, for a price of $650,000.00, plus associated closing costs, in <br /> connection with the Purgatory Creek Phase 2 improvements projects is approved. <br /> PART 2. The City Manager, or her designee, is authorized to execute the agreement <br /> and associated closing documents on behalf of the City. <br /> PART 3.
