RESOLUTION NO. 2024-60R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> ARCOS, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF TWO GRANT <br /> APPLICATIONS TO THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR'S PUBLIC <br /> SAFETY OFFICE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025 STATE AND LOCAL <br /> CYBESECURITY GRANT PROGRAM FUNDING FOR 1)THE CITY TO <br /> CONDUCT A CYBERSERCURITY RISK ASSESSMENT AND <br /> EVALUATION AND 2) FOR MITIGATION ENHANCEMENTS TO <br /> REDUCE SYSTEM VULNERABILITIES; DESIGNATING THE CITY <br /> MANAGER AS THE OFFICIAL AUTHORIZED TO ACT ON BEHALF OF <br /> THE CITY AND EXECUTE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR PURPOSES <br /> OF THESE APPLICATIONS AND ANY RESULTING GRANTS, <br /> INCLUDING AUTHORIZATION TO ACCEPT THE GRANTS; <br /> PROVIDING ASSURANCES; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. The submission of two grant applications to the Office of the Governor's <br /> Public Safety Office(Grant Nos. 5159801 and 51.86101)for: a)funding to conduct a cybersecurity <br /> risk assessment and evaluation; and b) for cybersecurity threat mitigation enhancements is hereby <br /> authorized. <br /> PART 2. The City Manager, or her designee, is hereby designated as the authorized <br /> official of the City of San Marcos who is given the authority to apply for, accept, reject, alter, or <br /> terminate a grant related to these applications and the City Manager, or her designee, is hereby <br /> authorized to execute such documents as may be required in connection with the submission of <br /> the applications. <br /> PART 3. The City agrees to and shall provide applicable matching funds for the <br /> projects if awarded grant funding in such amounts as required by the grant terms and conditions. <br /> PART 4. Pursuant to the requirements of the grant, assurance is hereby given that in <br /> the event of loss or misuse of grant funds,the San Marcos City Council will return all funds to the <br /> Public Safety Office. <br /> PART 5.
