While the core, repeat daily, weekly, and monthly users of the Center remain largely seniors, <br /> expanded offerings and more intentionally inclusive activities have greatly diversified who <br /> now rents the Price Center, and who participates in free and public events with us. <br /> In addition to our ongoing, weekly healthy movement classes, our Healthy Living <br /> Programming also includes bi-monthly Community Art Shows with Public Receptions <br /> featuring live music, additional periodic musical performances, monthly Film Series, ongoing <br /> Theatrical Performances, Dance Events, Symphonic Band Concerts, one-off Pop-Up Shows, <br /> Community Sing-Alongs, art classes and workshops, and more! <br /> The ongoing and core utilizers of our Healthy Living Programming are older adults who <br /> range in age from 50—100+. Science has shown us that as we age, physical, emotional, <br /> social, intellectual, and creative opportunities decline. Losing connection and access to <br /> these healthy activities can lead to rapid physical decline, loneliness/isolation, depression, <br /> mental decline/dementia, and more. <br /> The COVID epidemic helped raise individual awareness about the importance of connection <br /> and social engagement for all our well-being. Over the past two plus years, participation in <br /> all our Healthy Living Programming has grown considerably. <br /> As more of our friends and neighbors age,they are finding the need to get or stay active <br /> and/or challenge themselves physically, emotionally, socially, creatively, and intellectually. <br /> Healthy aging is the byproduct of remaining highly engaged, and we offer many ways and <br /> options to be so. <br /> The make-up of our Health Living activities changes with the time of year, partnerships with <br /> others, and the makeup of our volunteer instructors and their interests and availability. <br /> From our weekly to monthly gatherings, current free and/or subsidized ongoing Healthy <br /> Living Programming includes: <br /> Healthy Movement Offerings: <br /> o Dance (currently Ballet,Tap, and Zumba) classes weekly. <br /> o Tai Chi (currently two classes a week) <br /> o Yoga (currently 4 classes a week) <br /> i <br /> i <br />
