RESOLUTION NO. 2024-110R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AUTHORIZING A REQUEST FOR REIMBURSEMENT FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ("TXDOT") FOR 90 PERCENT OF THE COST OF AN UPDATED MASTER PLAN FOR THE SAN MARCOS REGIONAL AIRPORT IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $157,500.00; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HER DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE ALL CONTRACTS AND AGREEMENTS WITH TXDOT AS NECESSARY TO OBTAIN SUCH REIMBURSEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos intends to make certain improvements to the San Marcos Regional Airport; and WHEREAS, the general description of the project is described as: updating the airport master plan; and WHEREAS,the City of San Marcos intends to request financial assistance from the Texas Department of Transportation for these improvements; and WHEREAS,the total cost of the project is estimated not to exceed $175,000.00; and WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos' share of the cost is estimated not to exceed $17,500.00 (ten percent); and WHEREAS, the federal share of the costs are $157,500.00 (ninety percent), which is the amount for which the City Council of the City of San Marcos now desires to seek reimbursement; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. The City of San Marcos hereby authorizes the City Manager, or her designee, to execute all contracts and agreements with TXDOT as necessary to seek reimbursement from TXDOT for 90 percent of the cost of the update to the master plan for the San Marcos Regional Airport in an estimated amount not to exceed$157,500.00. PART 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its passage. ADOPTED on July 2, 2024.
