Too many gable, dormers, and roof breaks are expensive. Do keep massing <br />simple. Composing a house of one or a few simple boxes saves money for more effective things like proper <br />porch detailing, back porches, garden walls, or frontage fences. <br />Don't use horizontal window which do not reflect the proportions consistent with vernacular architecture.
