1 MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUGUST 9, 1991 PRESENT: Mayor Kathy M. Morris Mayor Pro-Tem Ronald K. Hart Council Members * Billy G. Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 12:00 Noon. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF THE CITY FROM VACANT TO COMMERCIAL FOR LOTS 1-8 OF THE AMENDED PLAT OF THE FACTORY SHOPS SUBDIVISION, LOCATED AT 3939 IH35 SOUTH AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak for or against the land use amendment. No one did, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Resolution and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING LOTS 1-8 OF THE AMENDED PLAT OF THE FACTORY SHOPS SUBDIVISION, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 5, PAGES 201-202 OF THE HAYS COUNTY PLAT RECORDS, LOCATED AT 3939 IH35 SOUTH, FROM UNZONED AND "PD" (PRE-DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT) TO "C" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak for or against the zoning amendment. No one did, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Ms. Kissler moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Hart seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (Mr. Moore present at 12:10 p.m.). Mayor Morris introduced for consideration an addendum, approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 9-1/2-1 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO CHANGE THE TITLE OF THE SECTION, TO DELETE SUBSECTIONS (a) AND * Mr. Moore present at 12:10 p.m. ** Mr. Hernandez not present at this meeting.
