RESOLUTION NO. 2024-163R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING A LIST OF QUALIFIED ON-CALL <br /> GEOTECHNICAL AND MATERIALS TESTING FIRMS TO PROVIDE <br /> SERVICES TO THE CITY ON AN AS-NEEDED BASIS FOR A PERIOD OF <br /> FIVE YEARS,IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED$500,000.00 PER FIRM <br /> OVER FIVE YEARS; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> RECITALS: <br /> 1. The City issued a Request for Qualifications ("RFQ") No. 224-161 for on-call <br /> geotechnical and materials testing services for various City projects. <br /> 2. On May 16, 2024, the City received Statements of Qualifications ("SOQ") from <br /> multiple firms. <br /> 3. An evaluation committee was formed for the purpose of evaluating the SOQ's and <br /> selecting the most qualified firms for placement on an on-call list. <br /> 4. The committee selected the most highly qualified firms to be on the on-call list for <br /> geotechnical and materials testing services for a period of five years under the terms of master <br /> agreements with the City in amounts not to exceed $500,000. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. Based on the evaluator's scores,the following firms are approved for placement <br /> on the City's on-call list of qualified geotechnical and materials testing firms for various City <br /> projects for a period of five years subject to the terms of master agreements to include a not-to- <br /> exceed amount of$500,000 with each firm: <br /> A. HJV South Central Texas—M&J, Inc.; <br /> B. Professional Service Industries, Inc.; <br /> C. UES Professional Solutions 45, LLC; <br /> D. Terracon Consultants, Inc. <br /> E. Arias and Associates, Inc. <br /> F. B2Z Engineering, LLC <br /> G. MLA Geotechnical; and <br />
