Purpose.The purpose of a certificate of appropriateness is <br /> to assure that construction, alteration, restoration, relocation, <br /> A. Historical, architectural and cultural significance of the site(s); or demolition of a structure, or alterations to the site or <br /> B. Suitability for preservation or restoration; appurtenances in a Historic District or at a Historic Landmark is <br /> congruous with the historical, architectural or cultural aspects <br /> C. Educational value; and of the district or landmark. Furthermore,the purpose of a <br /> certificate of appropriateness is to make certain that historic <br /> D. Satisfaction of criteria established for inclusion of the site(s) structures, streets and neighborhoods are preserved and <br /> and/or district in the National Register of Historic Places. protected. <br /> B.
