Annexation Hays County <br /> Service Plan Right-of-Way Annexation <br /> September 3, 2024 AN-24-06 <br /> THL CITY OF <br /> AN AfARCOS <br /> i <br /> I <br /> I <br /> i <br /> Service Plan for the Annexation of 30.69 +/-Acres of County Right-of-Way <br /> Pursuant to the provisions of the Texas Local Government Code,Chapter 43,the following service <br /> plan is hereby adopted for the annexation of 30.69+/- acres of County right-of-way. The property <br /> is being annexed at the request of the City of San Marcos and Hays County. <br /> The proposed annexation area is located within the following limits and further described in <br /> Exhibit A: <br /> 1. Centerpoint Road from Hunter Road to Interstate Highway 35 <br /> 2. McCarty Lane from Hunter Road to Union Pacific Railroad <br /> 3. Yarrington Road adjacent to the Whisper North annexation under Ordinance 2017-38 <br /> 4. Harris Hill Road from the Whisper East annexation under Ordinance 2022-47 to the <br /> Whisper South annexation under Ordinance 2021-78 <br />� <br /> 5. Posey Road adjacent to the Trace annexation under Ordinance 2015-28 <br /> 6. Old Bastrop Highway adjacent to the Trace annexation under Ordinance 2015-28, from <br /> Posey Road to and adjacent to the annexation under Ord. 2015-29 <br /> 1.Police Protection <br /> Police services, including patrolling,response to calls and other routine services,will begin on the <br /> effective date of the annexation using existing personnel and equipment. <br /> 2.Fire Protection <br /> Fire protection services, including emergency response calls, will begin on the effective date of <br /> the annexation using existing personnel and equipment and within the limitations of the available <br /> water supply. <br /> 3. Emer2ency Medical Services <br /> The City of San Marcos contracts for emergency medical services through the San Marcos—Hays <br /> County EMS, which already provides service to the area being annexed. <br /> 4. Operation and Maintenance of Roads and Streets <br /> The City of San Marcos will be responsible for operation and maintenance of the right-of-way <br /> following annexation. <br /> 1IPage <br />
