RESOLUTION 2008 -58R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A SUBSTANTIAL AMENDMENT TO <br />THE FISCAL YEAR 2007 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK <br />GRANT PROGRAM ACTION PLAN TO REDEFINE THE SCOPE OF <br />THE VILLAGE OF SAN MARCOS PROJECT; AUTHORIZING THE <br />CITY MANAGER TO ACT AS THE OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVE OF <br />THE CITY IN MATTERS RELATED TO THE CDBG PROGRAM AND <br />ACTION PLAN AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />RECITALS: <br />1. The city is considering a substantial amendment to its Fiscal Year 2007 <br />Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") Program Action Plan regarding funding <br />allocated to the Village of San Marcos (the "Project") in the amount of $283,460.00 to redefine <br />the scope of the Project. <br />2. The City Council conducted a public hearing on the amendment of the 2007 <br />CDBG Action Plan and prior to the public hearing provided a thirty day citizen comment period <br />in order to accept written comments on the proposed amendment. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The Fiscal Year 2007 CDBG Action Plan is amended to redefine the scope <br />of the Project to include a public park facility, a park access road, a parking area and associated <br />driveways, a detention facility, a pavilion, a playscape, a basketball 1/2 court, and recreation <br />amenities that include picnic tables, park benches, and barbecue grills and associated costs for <br />such things as engineering, surveying, infrastructure, and publication expenses.. <br />PART 2. The Interim City Manager, Collette Jamison is authorized to act in all <br />matters related to this Substantial Amendment to the 2007 CDBG Action Plan and all <br />understandings and assurances contained in the Action Plan and to provide additional <br />information as required on behalf of the City. <br />PART 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage. <br />ADOPTED this the 5th day of April, 2008. <br />
