RESOLUTION NO. 2024-246R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING A FIVE-YEAR GROUND LEASE <br /> AGREEMENT WITH KYLE D. REESE TO LEASE CITY-OWNED <br /> PROPERTY LOCATED AT 169-75 SOUTH LDJ DRIVE; AUTHORIZING <br /> THE CITY MANAGER,OR HER DESIGNEE,TO EXECUTE SAID LEASE <br /> AGREEMENT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. The attached Ground Lease Agreement with Kyle D. Reese (the "Lease <br /> Agreement")to lease the surface of City-owned property located approximately at 169-175 South <br /> LBJ Drive in the City of San Marcos, for 5 years, being on property previously owned by the <br /> Union Pacific Railroad and part of previously leased property assigned by the Railroad to the City <br /> when the City purchased 1.813 acres from the Railroad in 2013, is approved. <br /> PART 2. The City Manager, or her designee, is hereby authorized to sign the Lease <br /> Agreement on behalf of the City. ' <br /> PART 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately from and after its <br /> passage. <br /> ADOPTED on December 17, 2024. <br /> 4 _..
