The Calaboose African American History Museum: During hours of operation the docent will <br /> offer visitors opportunities to tour the Cephas House. (Wed-Sat/ l0am-2pm) <br /> During the Eddie Durham Fest the Cephas House is open for touring and non-profit organization <br /> .can provide information regarding their services. <br /> Partner with local schools for field trips, reading and storytelling events several times a year.The <br /> kids have arts exhibits and a yearly scholarship program for the High School and Texas State <br /> students. (Board member Diana Garcia) <br /> Several Sororities and Fraternities host monthly meetings and special events. The Zeta's assist <br /> with different events including Eddie Durham. <br /> interviewing opportunities with local news outlets that includes the Calaboose Museum news <br /> and updates <br /> Provided the initial mural meeting place for discussions with (owner) Chance Sparks and the <br /> Calaboose Board. 011ie Hamilton Mural <br /> Museum volunteers and partnerships play a crucial role in preserving and promoting cultural <br /> heritage. Volunteers contribute their time, skills, and passion, assisting with educational <br /> programs, visitor engagement, and behind-the-scenes operations, helping museums extend their <br /> reach and impact. <br /> Partnerships with businesses, educational institutions, and community organizations provide vital <br /> resources, funding, and expertise, enabling museums to enhance exhibits, offer outreach <br /> programs.
