Staff recommends approval of the request for the following reasons: <br />• The sector 7 plan calls for high density residential areas to be located along IH-35, Thorpe Lane, <br />Aquarena Springs Drive, West Avenue and Post Road. <br />• The request to change the land use classification to High Density Residential is supportive of the <br />Horizons Master Plan and the Sector 7 plan. <br />Planning Department Recommendation: <br />® Approve as submitted <br />? Denial <br />The Commission's Responsibility: <br />The Code requires the Commission to hold a public hearing and receive public comment regarding the <br />proposed Land Use Map Amendment. The Commission's advisory recommendation to the Council is a <br />discretionary decision.
