RESOLUTION NO. 2025-94R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF <br /> UNDERSTANDING WITH THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF STATE <br /> HEALTH SERVICES(DSHS)PROVIDING FOR UTILITY DEPARTMENT <br /> PARTICIPATION IN THE DSHS WASTEWATER MONITORING <br /> PROGRAM; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HER <br /> DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE THE MEMORANDUM OF <br /> UNDERSTANDING ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART I. The attached Memorandum of Understanding with the Texas Department <br /> of State Health Services (DSHS) to provide for Utility Department participation in the DSHS <br /> Wastewater Monitoring Program,a collaborative initiative with local health departments and water <br /> utilities to track pathogens in municipal wastewater systems, assess emerging or endemic disease- <br /> causing microorganisms,and support public health protection efforts in Texas, is hereby approved. <br /> PART 2. The City Manager, or her designee, is authorized to execute the <br /> Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of the City. <br /> PART 3.
