ORDINANCE NO. 2025-25 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING CHAPTER 39, ARTICLE 2, DIVISION 3, <br /> STANDARDS FOR FLOOD HAZARD REDUCTION, OF THE SAN <br /> MARCOS CITY CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 39.043, SPECIFIC <br /> STANDARDS FOR AE, AH, AND AO ZONES, AND SECTION 39.044, <br /> ADDITIONAL PROVISIONS FOR MANUFACTURED HOMES AND <br /> CREATIONAL VEHICLES,PRIMARILY TO ,MOVE OR REPLACE <br /> AH FLOOD ZONE REFERENCES TO COINCIDE WITH THE ADOPTED <br /> FLOOD INSURANCE RATE MAPS AND TO CHANGE THE <br /> ALLOWABLE INCREASE IN FLOOD ELEVATION FOR <br /> IMPROVEMENTS; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF CONFLICTING <br /> PROVISIONS; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE;AND DECLARING AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. Chapter 39, Article 2, Division 3, Standards for Flood Hazard Reduction, <br /> of the San Marcos City Code, Section 39.043, Specific Standards for AE,AH, and AO Zones, and <br /> Section 39.044, Additional Provisions for Manufactured Homes and Recreational Vehicles, are <br /> hereby amended to read as shown on Exhibit A. The purpose of the amendments is primarily to <br /> remove or replace AH Flood Zone references to coincide with the adopted Flood Insurance Rate <br /> Maps and to change the allowable increase in flood elevation for improvements. Added text is <br /> indicated by underlining. Deleted text is indicated by strikethrough. <br /> SECTION 2. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this ordinance is held <br /> to be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other provisions of this <br /> ordinance will continue in force if they can be given effect without the invalid portion. <br /> SECTION 3. All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions in <br /> conflict with this ordinance are repealed. <br /> SECTION 4.
