RESOLUTION 2008-60R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS RECOMMENDING A LIST OF THREE PRIORITY <br />TRANSPORTATION PROJECTS TO HAYS COUNTY FOR INCLUSION <br />ON THE BALLOT IN THE NOVEMBER 2008 TRANSPORTATION <br />BOND ELECTION; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />RECITALS: <br />1. On March 26, 2008 the City received a request from Hays County for a listing of <br />the City's top three transportation projects for inclusion on the ballot in the 2008 Transportation <br />Bond Election <br />2. The City Council sought advice and guidance from a variety of sources and has <br />determined that the projects it has selected address safety and/or mobility issues within the City <br />of San Marcos. <br />3. The City wishes to recommend three projects to the County for inclusion on the <br />ballot in the November 2008 Transportation Bond Election. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The following three projects are recommended to the County for inclusion <br />on the ballot in the November 2008 Transportation Bond Election: <br />1. Hunter Road widening between Wonder World Drive and Bishop Street. <br />2. Post Road widening from the City limits to the Yarrington Railroad Overpass, including <br />replacement of the current Blanco River low water crossing with a bridge. <br />3. Ranch Road 12 widening from Holland Street to the Wonder World Drive Extension. <br />PART 2. A copy of this Resolution will be forwarded to Hays County in order that it <br />will be received on or before May 2, 2008. <br />PART 3.
