SOLUTION NO. 2025-166R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A CONTRACT FOR ELECTION <br /> SERVICES WITH THE HAYS COUNTY ELECTION ADMINISTRATOR <br /> FOR THE PROVISION OF ELECTION SERVICES FOR THE CITY'S <br /> GENERAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 4, 2025 AND, IF <br /> NECESSARY, A RUNOFF ELECTION TO BE HELD IN ACCORDANCE <br /> WITH STATE LAW; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HER <br /> DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE <br /> CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> CITALS: <br /> 1. The City and the Hays_County Election Administrator are authorized to execute a <br /> Contract for Election Services pursuant to the provisions of the Texas Election Code, Chapter 31, <br /> Subchapter D, for the conduct and supervision of the City's General Election to be held on <br /> November 4, 2025 and, if necessary, a runoff election to be held in accordance with State Law(the <br /> "Election(s)"). <br /> 2. The City and Hays County Election Administrator have determined that it is in the <br /> City's best interest to contract for the provision of election services necessary to conduct the City's <br /> Election(s). <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. The attached Contract for Election Services between the Hays County Election <br /> Administrator and the City authorizing the Election Administrator to conduct the City's election(s) <br /> is approved. <br /> PART 2. The City Manager, or her designee, is authorized to execute the Agreement on <br /> behalf of the City. <br /> PART 3.
