RESOLUTION NO. 2025-179R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING AN AGREEMENT FOR THE PROVISION OF SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH THE PROPOSED HAYS COUNTY REQUESTED ANNEXATION IN CASE NO. AN-25-06 OF APPROXIMATELY 5.42 ACRES OF LAND COMPRISED OF THE FOLLOWING SEGMENTS OF PUBLIC RIGHTS-OF WAY IN HAYS COUNTY: CENTERPOINT ROAD EAST I11-35, SOUTH OLD BASTROP HIGHWAY WEST OF SH-123, CLOVIS BARKER ROAD ADJACENT TO UMC SUBDIVISION, YARRINGTON ROAD ADJACENT TO THE WHISPER EAST SUBDIVISION, TRANSPORTATION WAY AND HALF THE WIDTH OF LEMBO DRIVE,AND TRANSPORTATION WAY NEAR THE INTERSECTION WITH CENTERPOINT ROAD; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HER DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; SETTING A DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF SAID PUBLIC RIGHTS-OF-WAY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. The attached Agreement for the Provision of Services in connection with the proposed Hays County requested annexation in case number AN-25-06 of approximately 5.42 acres of the following segments of rights-of-way located in Hays County,Texas; Centerpoint Road as it runs adjacent to the annexation under Ordinance No. 1994-50, South Old Bastrop Highway as it runs from the annexation under Ordinance No. 2024-49 to the annexation under Ordinance No. 2004-77, Clovis Barker Road as it runs from the annexation under Ordinance No. 2015-29 to the annexation under Ordinance No. 1998-71, Yarrington Road as it runs adjacent to the Whisper East annexation under Ordinance No. 2022-47, Transportation Way and one-half of Lembo Drive as they run adjacent to the annexation under Ordinance No. 2022-33, and Transportation Way as it runs adjacent to the annexation under Ordinance No. 2020-32, is hereby approved. PART 2. The City Manager, or her designee, is authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of the City. PART 3. The date for the public hearing concerning the proposed annexation of the land described in said agreement shall be October 21, 2025. PART 4. This resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its passage. ADOPTED on September 16, 2025.
