G 4 0INA I, A d R P <br />Taxiway Design Group (TDG) Standards <br />The TDG is a classification system for taxiways/taxilanes based on an airplane's <br />landing gear dimensions. Specifically, the outer to outer main gear width and the <br />cockpit to main gear distance. The greater the distance between the main gear <br />struts and/or the greater the distance between the nose wheel and main gear, the <br />higher the TDG. However, in general, most taxiways at the airport meet the current taxiway <br />width requirements for TDG II (35 feet in width) and TDG III (50 feet in width) <br />standards. <br />Table 2-5 provides an overview of the existing taxiways at the San Marcos Regional <br />Airport including their current width, TDG, pavement composition, pavement <br />condition, and supporting taxiway lighting. <br />Inventory Chapter Page 15 of 52 <br />October 2020 <br />
